Let Go

"She let go,
forging a hole through the air,
as she screamed past her limitations."

Make it a good weekend!!

Ain't that the truth?!? Happy Wednesday!!

Countdown to Valentine's Day!

The countdown to Valentine's Day is on!! We're seeing hearts everywhere!

Tell someone you love them today <3

February is always one of those months where I dive into some of my old favorite books. It is a time when reading precious words that motivate and inspire make me think that I can use them to be a force in this new year; that as the new year begins to unfold, we can stay intentional and make it something that really brings new experiences into our lives; that this year will be a year of new experiences; that every day is not just something that we walk through like a robot. But, that we take each moment to know it is a gift and this is what our lives are made of. Seeking something that brings greatness to our lives and the lives of others. As I stumbled through my wake-up, I came across my friend’s post on Facebook. Lisa is a friend I met about 18 months ago. She is someone that every time I see her, she reminds me that life is a gift, knowing someone like her is a gift, and that through great love we can all make this world a better place. Her words about time remind me how special every moment can be...if you realize what fills your heart.

“I know this much: that there is objective time, but also subjective time, the kind you wear on the inside of your wrist, next to where the pulse lies. And this personal time, which is the true time, is measured in your relationship to memory” - Julian Barnes

It has been 19 months in objective time. I find myself confounded by thoughts about time. How it both never stops yet is permanently frozen, at least in relationship to my memory. We attempt to explain time in phrases like “time passes” and “frozen in time”. We measure objective time with events like New Year’s eve and New Year’s day. I don’t want to measure objective time any more. I want to create my own personal time. In my time, I can reconcile passing time and time frozen in memory. In my time, next to where my pulse lies, alongside my shattered heart, my beautiful daughter is always with me. In my time, my beautiful friends and family exist always with me. With gratitude…
